Tamworth Ladies 1s started their season campaign in impressive fashion, producing a strong team performance to secure a comfortable three points.

Tamworth wasted no time getting on the scoresheet, with Stevie Oversby opening the scoring inside the first five minutes. The Ladies soon doubled their advantage when Lucy Dale finished off some excellent build-up play, getting the decisive deflection at the far post.

At the other end, Lisa Moore was called into action and produced some great saves to keep the opposition at bay, ensuring Tamworth went into the half-time break with a commanding lead.

Tamworth picked up where they left off in the second half and quickly added another. A brilliantly worked short-corner routine was finished by Kirsty Brown, who opened her account for the season.

From there, the goals came thick and fast. Stevie Oversby grabbed her second of the game before Rebecca Warburton struck twice to further extend Tamworth’s advantage.

There was still time for one final moment, and right on the final whistle Oversby completed her hat trick , firing home a straight strike from a short corner to round off an excellent team performance.

Overall, it was a strong display from the whole squad and a thoroughly deserved three points for the Ladies 1s a fantastic way to start the season.
