Tamworth travelled to Beacon on Sunday for their second game of the weekend. An uncharacteristic slow start to the game from the town side saw them struggle to keep possession as they gave the ball away cheaply with Beacon capitalising on this as they put the town on the back foot and they opened the scoring early on. Going behind seemed to spur Tamworth on and they started to settle, Lesley Broadway -Hatton marshalled her defense well as they began to time their tackles and clearances to set up attacks for Tamworth. The towns midfield also started to get a foothold in the game driving the team forward, Resh Kaur equalised for Tamworth following a goal mouth melee, Claire Miles had a shot saved on the line with Lucy Wright -Perkins also going close.
Half time 1-1
