Tamworth 2nds kicked off the season at home with a really strong performance resulting in A strong victory.
Played in good spirit and with several youths within the home side, the game started lively with 5 goals in the 1st half.
Ben Popple opening the scoring early, and the away side responded well scoring two goals in no time at all. Dave Belson fired Tamworth back in front with another 2 goals in quick succession and led the match 3-2 at half time.
Tamworth gained control after the break and began to play some superb hockey, and within 10 minutes had stretched their lead through a Simon Bowyer short corner routine and a further goal from Popple and a 2nd half Hattrick for Belson, taking his tally to 5 for the day made the game safe. Beacon responded late in the game to end with that 8-3 result.
Debutants Jack Corden & Charlie Goode stood out alongside a superb team performance, seeing 5 * scorer Belson picking up the Man of the Match award. |
