Tamworth produced a strong second-half performance to secure a convincing 6–2 home victory over Stone after the sides went in level at the break.
The hosts started brightly and were rewarded when Tom Sperrink opened the scoring, finishing well to give Tamworth an early advantage. Stone responded with increased pressure and found an equaliser before halftime, sending the teams into the interval at 1–1.
Half time 1-1
Tamworth raised the intensity after the restart and quickly took control of the game. Tom Hancox struck twice in the second half, both goals coming from well-worked attacking moves that stretched the Stone defence, resulting in 2 penalty flicks. Tom Sperrink added his second of the match soon after, continuing his excellent form and giving Tamworth a commanding lead.
Stone pulled a goal back to make it 4–2, but Tamworth remained composed and continued to press. Dominic Parry extended the lead with a clinical finish, before Graeme Cook rounded off the scoring right at the end of the match to cap an impressive team performance.
Overall, it was a dominant display from Tamworth, particularly in the second half, as they showed composure, attacking quality, and defensive resilience to secure all three points at home.
