| Match Report | Tamworth battled to a hard-fought 2–1 victory over a determined Ludlow side in a competitive and tightly contested match.
The hosts started brightly, applying early pressure and earning a short corner. Their persistence paid off when Phil Blenkinsop reacted quickest to a rebound, slotting home after Ben Bowyer’s powerful drag flick was well saved by the Ludlow goalkeeper. The pressure was applied well by Ludlow whilst Tamworth defended their lead valiently

The second half saw end-to-end action, with both sides creating opportunities. Tamworth’s decisive moment came when a driven ball across the D found Graeme Cook, who calmly finished to restore the lead and ultimately seal the win.
Defensively, Joe Wood was outstanding—composed under pressure, reading the game superbly, and breaking up several dangerous Ludlow attacks. In midfield, Phil Blenkinsop continued to impress with his tireless work rate, creativity, and influence at both ends of the pitch.
