Tamworth Men's Firsts Vs Stone 2

Tamworth produced a dominant display away at Stone, running out 5–1 winners after a clinical and composed team performance.

The visitors started with intent, controlling possession and creating early chances. Graeme Cooke was in outstanding form in the first half, netting a superb hat-trick to give Tamworth a commanding 3–0 lead going into the break. His sharp movement and finishing proved too much for the Stone defence to handle.

In the second half, Stone managed to pull one back, but Tamworth quickly reasserted their control. Terry Sperrink and Ben Bowyer both added well-taken goals to round off a convincing 5–1 victory.

There were standout performances across the pitch, particularly from Phil Blenkinsop, who was exceptional throughout—working tirelessly, linking play, and driving the team forward at every opportunity. His influence in both attack and defence earned him a deserved Man of the Match award.
