| Match Report | Old Wulfs 1–2 Tamworth
Tamworth produced a resilient performance on the road to come from behind and secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory against Old Wulfs.
Tamworth started the brighter of the two sides and but were unable to take the lead in the first half with chances from Hancox, Sperrink and Parry all going wide.
However Tamworth remained composed and gradually grew into the contest, tightening up defensively to create chances of their own.
Half time 0-0
In midfield, Olly Bowyer delivered a commanding performance, working tirelessly both defensively and in attack to help Tamworth regain control of the game. His influence helped the visitors push forward and eventually find the equaliser, with Tom Hancox finishing well to bring Tamworth level.
With momentum now on their side, Tamworth continued to press and were rewarded when Terry Sperrink found the back of the net to put the visitors ahead.
At the back, Tamworth stood firm to protect their lead. Goalkeeper James Miles produced a strong display between the posts, while Dylan Waldron at full back and Jake Mallinder at centre back were outstanding in defence, dealing with Old Wulfs’ late pressure.
Tamworth held on through the closing stages to secure an impressive comeback victory.
