The ladies 2s had a double header weekend as they beat Atherstone 6-1 on Saturday and drew 1-1 with Beacon on Sunday.
Tamworth faced local rivals Atherstone on Saturday winning 6-1 with a dominant performance making it 12 wins out of 12. The town side made a quick start to the game and were 2-0 up after only 9 minutes, Lucy Wright -Perkins opened the scoring from a short corner on 7 minutes then Gemma Bradshaw added a second 2 minutes later. Phoebe Marsland added a third before Bradshaw scored her second to send the home into the break with a commanding 4-0 lead.
Another quick start to the second half saw Lucy Wright -Perkins complete her hat trick with two goals in two minutes to cap a super debut for the seconds and earning her a well deserved player of the match award. Atherstone scored a late consolation goal in the final minutes but Tamworth ran out 6-1 winners.
