| Match Report | Tamworth started strongly passing the ball fluently.
After 5 minutes Resh Kaur opened the scoring finishing well from rebounded shot off the keepers pads. With excellent passing between Fiona Wylie Paula Cooper and Zoe Aldridge chances came thick and fast and Aldridge slotted the ball past the Sutton keeper. Phoebe Marsland worked hard on the left and following a strong move on the right popped her first goal in at the far post. The Tamworth defence of Jess Thacker, Jess Crosby and Audrey warburton dealt comprehensively with anything that came their way and keeper Nicky Youngman cleared up if the Sutton attack got close. In the second half Marsland scored again and completed her hat trick halfway through the second half. Cathy Thacker and Claire Phillips distributed the ball well and Cooper scored with a strong strike from a short corner and Wylies powerful shot deflected in off a Sutton foot to make the final score 7 nil. Marsland deservedly was player of the match for her first senior hat trick. |
