The ladies seconds faced Bloxwich development team on Saturday in their penultimate game of the season securing a comfortable 7-0 win.
In a one sided first half the town side dominated possession and were clinical in front of goal. A blistering opening 20 minutes saw Tamworth score all their goals, on 2 minutes the away side won a short corner Fiona Wylie saw her shot saved but Paula Cooper was on hand to slot home the rebound . Another short corner routine a couple of minutes later this time Lucy Wright -Perkins was on hand to score her first of the game. Zoe Aldridge added a third again reacting quickly following a good save from the GK. Tamworth's fourth goal was the pick of the bunch a flowing move down the right flank Phoebe Marsland got on the end of Anne Marshall's cross to fire home with a brilliant first time strike. Wright -Perkins showed her quality in front of goal as she completed a first half hat trick then added a fourth to take the side into the break 7-0 up.
Tamworth swapped things around in the second session and Bloxwich's young side grew into the game as they enjoyed more possession and created some goalscoring opportunities of their own. At the other end Tamworth still looked dangerous as they created a whole host of chances but they lacked the finishing of the first half with the Bloxwich GK also making a number of good saves and the score remained 7-0.
