Tamworth who rose to top of the league last week were brought back down to reality with a thumping defeat away at Wednesbury 1sts.

A strong line up, aside from stand in Keeper, teased a tight affair, however much like the conditions Tamworth were blown away by the away side. The first saw little goal mouth action for Tamworth, and struggling to put some passes together Wednesbury had several chances and found themselves 2-0 at half time after two tap in goals where they overloaded the Tamworth defence and found the net comfortably.

In what can only be described as wet and wild conditions, the home side began the second half well, and continued the dominance in the middle of the park, which soon led to a quickfire double therefore taking the side 4-0 ahead. Wednesbury hit their 5th and the final goal with a clinical breakaway and neat finish to seal a very convincing 5-0 win.
