Tamworth fell to a 4-2 defeat away to Rugby in a competitive encounter. Despite a strong effort, the hosts proved too clinical in front of goal.
Rugby took control early, capitalizing on their chances to build a lead. Tamworth fought back, with Josh Volante finding the net to keep his side in contention. Ian Wagstaff then struck from a penalty corner, but Rugby maintained their advantage and saw out the game.
Man of the Match Joe Wood put in a tireless performance, while goalkeeper James Miles made some outstanding saves to keep Tamworth in the contest. Carter Bradshaw also impressed with his work rate and defensive contributions.
