However, Old Sils gradually found their rhythm and equalised after halftime.

The second half saw Tamworth push hard for a second goal. Ian Wagstaff and Graeme Cooke both came agonisingly close, with Wagstaff's shot skimming the post and Cooke forcing an impressive save from the Old Sils keeper. Despite their efforts, it was Old Sils who took the lead with a swift counterattack, leaving the Tamworth defense scrambling.

As the clock ticked down, Old Sils added a third goal to seal the result, taking advantage of Tamworth’s high press in the closing stages. Although the scoreline did not go their way, Tamworth’s performance showed plenty of positives. The team’s energy and determination, led by Waldron and Bowyer, set a solid foundation for the remainder of the season.
