Tamworth Mens 1sts extended their winning run to 7 in a row and delivered a commanding performance, defeating Market Harborough 6-2 in an entertaining encounter. Clinical in attack and solid in key moments, Tamworth showcased their quality to secure another valuable victory.

The game started with Tamworth on the front foot, creating early chances. George Ayling opened the scoring with a composed finish, capitalizing on excellent build-up play from midfielders Jake Mallinder and James Griffin. Not long after, Terry Sperrink doubled the lead, reacting quickest in the circle to slot home and give Tamworth a deserved 2-0 advantage.

Market Harborough responded, pulling one back just before halftime to make it 2-1 at the break, keeping the contest alive.

Tamworth came out firing after the restart, with James Griffin restoring the two-goal cushion almost immediately with a well-timed strike. The momentum stayed firmly with Tamworth as Graeme Cooke added a fourth, driving into the circle and finishing confidently.

Ian Wagstaff then extended Tamworth's lead further with a pinpoint short corner finish, rifling the ball into the backboard to make it 5-1. Market Harborough managed to grab a second goal in response, but it was little more than a consolation as Tamworth's defense held firm with the aid of Carter Bradshaw, Dylan Waldron and Goalkeeper James Miles.

Dominic Parry sealed the game with a stunning reverse-stick shot late on, capping an excellent solo run and finalizing the 6-2 scoreline.

Tamworth's goals from Ayling, Sperrink, Griffin, Cooke, Wagstaff, and Parry highlighted their attacking depth and creativity, with the entire squad contributing to a dominant team effort. The victory cements Tamworth’s reputation as a force to be reckoned at the top of the table.
