Match Report | Tamworth secured an impressive 5-2 victory on their visit to Atherstone, with a clinical display of attacking hockey. Tamworth showcased their quality throughout the match, earning a well-deserved win.
The match started at a fast pace, with both teams eager to take control. Atherstone initially held firm, but it was Tamworth who broke the deadlock thanks to George Ayling, who found the back of the net with a well-placed shot to give Tamworth an early lead.

Tamworth did not let up their assault as precise passing and movement by Josh Volante and George Ayling presented chance after chance for the attacking trio but Tamworth were unable to find the net.
Atherstone countered quickly and pulled another goal back and made the score 4-2.
As Atherstone pushed forward in search of goals, gaps opened in their defense. Ian Wagstaff capped off a fine performance by scoring his second of the match, sealing a commanding 5-2 victory for Tamworth against local rivals.
