Tamworth Ladies Thirds Vs North Stafford 3

Tamworth started the game positively, with some early pressure on the North Staffs defence, winning 2 penalty corners following some good attacking play from Kelly West, Marie Goodwin & Helen Le Grande. Despite good strikes from Cathy Thacker on the penalty corners, the North Staffs goalkeeper managed to deny Tamworth an early goal.

Tamworth continued to play well throughout the first half, soaking up the pressure from the North Staffs attacks, with the Tamworth goalkeeper Emma Male making some fantastic saves to prevent the opposition from scoring. The Tamworth defence remained solid, with Courtney Bravington-Moore clearing off the line, and Resh Kaur, Kate Caddick, Sarah Hutchins & Fiona Whittaker all working hard to keep the scoreline to 0 – 0 at half time

Tamworth started the 2nd half with the same determination, but were unlucky not to convert any of their opportunities into goals. It was looking like it was going to be a 0 – 0 result, with a hard earned point being gained, but continued pressure from the North Staffs attack resulted in them scoring a goal in the last minute of play from a penalty corner, leaving the final result 1 – 0 to North Staffs
