Match Report

In a thrilling encounter, Tamworth welcomed Warwick at home with Tamworth securing a dominant 5-1 victory over Warwick in a display of attacking prowess and defensive solidity.

The match began off with both teams showing early intent, but it was Tamworth who opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes when winger Josh Volante calmly slotted home a precise through ball from Tom Hancox to put Tamworth ahead.

Warwick pushed forward aggressively in response to this, but Tamworth's defense of Joe Wood, Carter Bradshaw and Dylan Waldron held firm, thwarting their attempts with well-timed tackles and interceptions. However this was short lived as Warwick eventually leveled the scoring and brough the game level once again.

Tamworth doubled their lead in the 24th minute through defender Ian Wagstaffs Penalty Flick after Tom Hancox's well angled run got him knocked down by the Warwick Goalkeeper.

As halftime rapidly approached, Tamworth managed to increase their lead with a well-worked team goal finished off by Midfielder Connor Diggens which put Tamworth comfortably 2 goals ahead at the break.

However, any hopes of a Warwick comeback were quickly extinguished in the second half as Tamworth stepped up their intensity. Forward Tom Hancox increased Tamworth's goal advantage with a clinical finish in the 44th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error from Warwick.

Tamworth continued to dominate proceedings, with strong midfield play from Elliott Birchall , Connor Diggens and Jake Mallinder, which enabled Tamworth to carry on the high press which had secured them so many goals already

It was Josh Volante again who got on the scoresheet in the 79th minute, converting a in a pinpoint pass from Tom Hancox to make it 5-1 in favor of Tamworth.

As the final whistle blew, Tamworth emerged as convincing 5-1 victors over top of the league. Showcasing their attacking prowess and putting on a defensive masterclass to secure all three points.
