Tamworth 4s faced a young Bloxwich team at home on Saturday. The start of the first half was played in the middle of the pitch with neither team being able to get on top and hold possession long enough to start an attack towards goal. As the first half went on the town side started putting some good passing moves together with some great play from junior Merryn Walton in her first game for the ladies section along with youngster Courtney Bravington and some solid work from Charlotte Rymond. Tamworth continued to play some great hockey and forced a couple of short corners but Bloxwich defended well. The deadlock was broken when Lucy-May Flint scored from close range. The second half continued with Tamworth playing some confident hockey but couldn't add to their one goal. In the last ten minutes Bloxwich were getting more possession and managing to put pressure on the town defence, but they held strong and got a deserved victory. A good team performance.
