Tamworth Ladies Firsts Vs Cannock 2

Tamworth had their first 3 points of the season with a great team performance.

Tamworth dominated and had the majority of the possession during the first half. Jo Goode had an outstanding game down the right and after being awarded several short corners Tamworth took the lead with jo Goode following up from the rebound. Cannock equalised from open play, yet Tamworth responded positively. The team welcomed back Steph Wagstaff who got on the score sheet with an exceptional one on one with the keeper. Half time was 2-1.

Tamworth continued to pressurise Cannock defence and had several shots on target but Cannocks keeper kept them in the game. Cannock equalised from a short corner halfway through the half. Tamworth were not interested in the draw and continued to dominate and push forward. They were awarded another short corner where Gemma Rowe made certain that it hit the back of the net. With 13 minutes left Tamworth passed the ball around well and kept the possession much to Cannocks frustration.

It was a fabulous team performance with everyone working 100% for each other.
