Tamworth ladies seconds struggled to find their rhythm this week. The first half saw few chances for either team. Nadia Williamson made some excellent runs on the right sending powerful crosses through the D and Bea Pound worked hard on the left against older, tougher competitors who didn’t shy away from strong, hard tackles.
Injuries to Claire Miles and Gemma Shoesnew-Rayson disrupted the flow of the game and the deadlock was broken when a Tamworth foot stopped a goal and Stone converted the penalty flick to make the score 1 nil at half time. With 15 minutes to go, 2 deflected goals from well struck shots made the final score 3 nil to stone.
