| Match Report | Tamworth started positively with lots of possession and attacking play with a few chances created but they were unable to break down the Lichfield defence. Lichfield had some breakaway attacks towards the end of the first half but these were cut out by the solid Town defence. Early in the second half after lots of pressure Jess Thacker struck from just inside the ‘D’ through a number of players to give Tamworth the lead. Both teams fought hard for the rest of the game before Elaine 'The Fox' Foxley sealed the win in the last minute with a fine strike across the goal just inside the far post.
