Tamworth travelled to Repton knowing it was going to be a tough game against a very young, quick, skilled team. Tamworth defended well, With the movement of Repton around the pitch we all had to be aware of always marking different players and this was made easier by great communication from Nic Youngman who was called up to play in goal for us. Repton scored their first, Tamworth worked tirelessly, passing the ball around and being awarded a couple of short corners, Repton scored their second minutes before the end of the half. Charlotte Hicks had a great game playing in a few different positions and deservedly getting team POM, Nic Youngman was a close second making some great saves and keeping the tally to 6. It was good experience to play a well drilled and skilful team but Tamworth won on pitch attitude & manners!
