This weeks game was home against Harbourne winning 4-1.  With the league season starting next week against Notts Uni the team needed to ensure that they continued with their winning performance.  The team as in previous games worked tirelessly supporting the player on the ball, creating the easy pass and therefore creating the space to move into.  The regular youngsters Jess Barker and Charlotte Hicks becoming more confident and supported this week by Eden Collier.  Tamworth had the majority of play and two goals came from open play where Gemma Rowe reverse stick shot them into goal.   The third goal was a great team effort, starting from a free hit pass on the right from Rachel Rowe across to Sarah Arnold on the left, passed to Fiona Wylie who passed onto Gemma Rowe who then took into the ‘D’ where it was 2 on 1, Gem slipped to Steph Wagstaff who slotted it away.  Harbourne got a break away goal but straight away Tamworth reacted and Gemma fired the ball away to earn her hat trick.  Jess Barker got team player of the match for her outstanding game in midfield, however it was a great team performance.
