Tamworth Ladies Seconds Vs Lichfield 4s

Tamworth started well with excellent passing across the middle.  Lucy plant showed excellent pace at the back and Becky moore worked hard tackling enthusiastically.  Gemma wheelhouse make some weaving runs as did youngster Charlotte hicks who came close to scoring. Jess spalding has a great game fighting hard at every opportunity.  Kirsty Wright put in some excellent crosses with Fiona jones narrowly missing at the far post. Lichfield scored past Nicky Youngman who made a number of great saves throughout the match to go into the break one up. Tamworth kept pushing hard and had most of the play in the first 20 minutes of the half but couldn’t capitalise on the play. Lichfield scored a second late on to make the final score 2 nil. Wheelhouse was league player with jess Spalding getting club player.
