Tamworth Men were soundly beaten 7-2 by North Notts at home on Saturday. A frantic start saw North Notts score straight from push back only for Tamworth to reply as Tom Sperrink played in Ben Popple who rounded the keeper before delicately lifting the ball inside the near on his reverse stick from a tight angle. The visitors however continued to cause Town problems and they were 4-1 up at the break. Tamworth worked to find a way back into the game but another flurry of goals late in the game saw North Notts add three more before a mazy run and shot from Ryan Brisco was deflected in by top scorer Tom Hancox to give Tamworth a late consolation goal.
